Ramin Bahrani directs this drama set in the rural American South in which two men form an unlikely friendship that alters the course of both their lives. Senegalese cab driver Solo (Souleymane Sy Savane) has worked hard since his arrival in America to provide for his girlfriend and her young daughter. When William (Red West), a tough old man with a troubled past, hires Solo to take him to Blowing Rock, a notorious suicide spot, Solo befriends him in the hope of talking him out of ending his own life.
