På slutten av 1920-tallet var Mikke Mus Disneys store stjerne. Det var hovedsaklig kortfilmene om den populære musen som trakk publikummet til kinoene og ikke selve hovedfilmen. Det andre volumet om Mickey Mouse in Black and White, inneholder 40 kortfilmer i årene 1920-1935, alt fra The Barn Dance (1928) til den siste svarthvite kortfilmen Mickey's Kangaroo (1935). I bonusmaterialet inngår blant annet ett besøk hos Bernie Shine, en av verdens fremste Mikke Mus samlere samt et intervju med John Hench, mannen som malte år etter år det offisielle bursdagsportrettet til Mikke Mus.
